01 May Josie Hammons

Josie Hammons – she’s a beautiful soul with a heart for people and a heart for children. I had the incredible privilege of taking some of her portrait shots some time ago, and we had such a great time. The awesome thing about living in San Antonio is that even though it’s one of the largest cities in the United States, there are PLENTY of parks and natural areas in and around the city. Josie and I drove around for a little while before we found this park near the airport. There were lots of trees and wildflowers and the bluebonnets were in full bloom. Contrary to popular belief, it is NOT illegal to pick bluebonnets in the state of Texas! As per usual, most of the photos were shot using the Aperture Priority setting on my Rebel. Enjoy!
